Skin & Coat Care
At Soggy Dog we are certified pet aestheticians and believe that grooming is both an art and science. Soggy Dog's staff is dedicated to caring for the skin and coat of each individual animal with targeted shampooing, appropriate conditioning and tailored grooming to enhance both the beauty and health of every client.
Canine skin is very thin and fur protects the dog from the elements. It provides thermal regulation, hydration and nutrient storage. Without a healthy coat, dogs are susceptible to disease.

Hair and Skin Experts
There are 15 coat type categories among dog breeds. Some of these are naturally evolved and some are human designed. Each coat type requires specialized care, products and techniques to ensure optimal beauty and skin health. Did you know that a dog's coat is much like skin in humans? While a dog's skin is very thin, their fur is designed to protect the from the elements. It provides thermal regulation, hydration and nutrient storage. Without a healthy coat dogs are susceptible to heat stroke, infections, environmental toxins and microbial injury. Each dog's coat has specific functions that are imperative to the overall health and well being of the animal.
